February 16, 2023

Alessandro Comodin, Maureen Fazendeiro, Ognjen Glavonić, Jacqueline Lentzou, Camilo Restrepo and Ben Rivers are the directors selected, working in collaboration with producers and other professionals such as Tommaso Bertani, Stefan Ivančić, Dragana Jovović, Beli Martínez, Valentina Novati, Helen Olive, Thomas Ordonneau, Andrea Queralt and Luís Urbano.

These names will be added to those of the national projects already announced to participate in the third stage of VENTURA, an international co-production forum that will take place on the 8th and 9th March.

Organised by the Enfoques Cultural Association, responsible for the Play-Doc International Documentary Film Festival, VENTURA is a new platform for filmmakers and producers internationally, with strong artistic visions in independent filmmaking.

VENTURA takes place throughout the year in three distinct stages, dedicated to professional training, project development and industry meetings, combining online and face-to-face activities. After successfully holding its two initial stages reserved for national projects – a week of an online mentoring and guest lectures, and an intensive writing residency – VENTURA will hold its final stage: an international co-production market to take place in Tui (Galicia, Spain) from the 8th to 9th March 2023. A series of one-to-one meetings will take place with representatives of production companies, distributors, funds, markets and international festivals.
