VENTURA launches its annual call for projects, this year focused exclusively on film projects of Galician authorship.
A Galician production will be understood as one in which two of the following professionals—director, screenwriter, or executive producer—are of Galician origin or have more than two years of proven professional activity in Galicia’s audiovisual sector. In the case of projects involving international co-production, it will be sufficient to prove the origin or more than two years of professional activity in Galicia of only one of the professionals mentioned. For the purposes of this call, professional affiliation may be demonstrated when the activity carried out matches any of the defined roles (director, screenwriter, executive producer) and has taken place in more than two audiovisual projects, or through service contracts with at least two different audiovisual production companies.
The submission deadline is October 5, 2025. Projects submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
All applicants must complete the entry form, with no limit on the number of projects per applicant. The entry fee is €15 per project.
Entries must be submitted exclusively through the website https://ventura.gal/.
By submitting, applicants declare that they hold the ownership rights to the registered projects and take responsibility for the material submitted in terms of intellectual and commercial property rights, releasing the organization from all liability in case of legal disputes or rights infringements.
All submissions must include the following materials, in English or Spanish, in a single PDF file (maximum size 20 MB):

A selection committee will evaluate the projects based on their quality, the director’s previous works, and the producer’s experience and commitment to the project. The organization will then contact the representatives of the selected projects to confirm participation. The final selection of projects and participants will be published on our website and will be final and unappealable.
Once selected, directors and producers will be considered to have agreed to participate in all activities and to provide the necessary information about their projects, which will be included in our catalogue and website. All participants, during in-person activities, authorize the use of their image for promotional purposes.
The organization will cover travel costs (within Spain), accommodation, and meals for one representative per selected project participating in in-person activities.
An international jury will award a €2,000 cash prize to one of the projects presented at VENTURA, along with various in-kind prizes provided by our partners and sponsors. All prizes will be announced at the closing event.
All films resulting from a project presented at VENTURA must include the following credit: “Project presented at VENTURA“, accompanied by the logo.
