IMPOSSIBLE SCENARIO, THE DEATH OF VIRGIL

IMPOSSIBLE SCENARIO, THE DEATH OF VIRGIL

Synopsis:

On September 13, Jean-Luc Godard opted for an exit through voluntary death amidst the production of his final film, “Scenario.” It is within the realm of this terminal cinematic creation that the film “Impossible Scenario: The Death of Virgil” takes its genesis. The concept of “late style” is closely associated with a self-imposed exile—a form of rebellion against the prevailing taste of the times as death draws near. The film presents a unique, intimate perspective on Godard’s final creative journey, marked by financial struggles, complex relationships, and the extraordinary nature of producing a film with a cinematic master until his voluntary exit.
